Prints

Each print is made from a high-resolution scan of the original painting and shipped from Portland.

Paper: Archival matte cotton rag, 230 gsm. Slight texture, no glare — it holds the dotwork in the originals better than a gloss stock does.
Inks: Pigment inks rated for 100+ years without noticeable fading when kept out of direct sunlight.
Borders: Every print includes a small white border for framing. The sizes listed are the paper size, not the image size.
Packaging: Prints up to 11 × 14 ship flat in a rigid mailer. Larger sizes ship rolled in a tube.
Turnaround: Prints are made to order, so allow a few days before shipping.

A stag with wide antlers stands in deep blue moonlit snow at the centre of a winter forest. Behind it a large pale blue moon is ringed by concentric dashes of blue and silver. Bare cobalt birch trunks frame the scene, a string of yellow paper stars is hung between two of them, and a quorum of owls watches from the branches while foxes and rabbits sit in the snow below.

A large marigold-orange jellyfish drifts at the centre of a densely stippled cobalt blue sea, trailing long coral-red and cream tentacles. Four pale blue jellyfish float around it. The water is made of thousands of painted dots of plankton, and faint ghost outlines of starfish, crabs, and small fish are hidden throughout the field.

A spotted whale shark turns slowly through dark navy water at the centre of an enormous swirling vortex made of thousands of tiny silver and blue baitfish. The school curls in wide spiral currents around the shark, opening into pools of deep blue where the water shows through.

Do you sell the original paintings?

Sometimes. Where an original is available it says so on the painting's own page, with a link to enquire by email. Originals aren't sold through the checkout — it's worth a conversation first.

Can I order a size that isn't listed?

Ask. Some paintings can print larger than the sizes shown, and some can't — it depends on the resolution of the original scan.

Do you take commissions?

Yes. Get in touch through the contact page with a rough idea of subject, size, and timing.
